SP-Series Super Plossl Eyepieces

These standard 1.25"/31.7mm eyepieces set high performance standards for modern telescope oculars. The proven 4-element

Plossl designs display edge-to-edge pinpoint imaging across their panoramic 52 degree fields. Utilisation of top quality optical glass, superior multi-layer coatings and edge blackened elements deliver superb high contrast images. SP-Series eyepieces minimise spherical aberration, distortion, astigmatism and off axis colour, whilst their oversized optical elements afford the observer luxurious eye relief. Stray light is eliminated by the fold back rubber eyecups, standard with every SP-Series eyepiece, and all but the lightest three models feature the security of rubber grips. Long Eye Relief (LER) Eyepieces (1.25")

These multi-coated eyepieces provide a generous 20mm eye relief, and all focal lengths including the 2mm model feature particularly wide diameter eye lenses for maximum viewing comfort. These eyepieces are especially valuable for spectacle wearers, as the long eye relief allows them to view the entire field whilst spectacles are being worn. Rubber eyecups are provided for added comfort and to keep out extraneous light.

These Sky-Watcher Ultra-Wide Angle, Multi-Coated, Long Eye Relief eyepieces offer a generous 66º apparent field of view, allowing more sky objects to be viewed at one time. They provide sharp images right across the field. Rubber eyepieces are included for viewing comfort and to exclude extraneous light.

The 2” Aero SWA eyepieces feature a 6-element construction in four groups. Exotic ED glass is employed in the design to significantly reduce false colour. These eyepieces all feature impressively wide 68° fields of view, with virtually distortion-free images. Multi-coating is applied to all air-to-glass surfaces to increase light transmission and image contrast. All models feature edge-blackened lens edges and are parfocal. The eyepiece barrels are threaded to accept standard 2” filters. Twist-up rubber eyecups and generous eye relief for spectacle wearers.
